This project was conceived as an independent extension to an existing family house. The client wanted a standalone house in the small family plot which could take advantage of the existing house and could form a cohesive unit from the outside.
The front south-facing volume is a solarium which also works as a winter garden creating a thermal barrier. The
narrow plot and adjacencies called for the introduction of more natural light in the middle of the plot which was achieved by raising a central part of the slab to create clerestory windows.
